The patterns shaping your life often make sense once we understand where they began.

People often come to therapy believing something is wrong with them. I don't see it that way.
I believe that the ways we protect ourselves, love, withdraw, strive, or struggle all developed for reasons that once made sense. Therapy isn't about becoming someone new — it's about understanding the threads that have woven together to create the life you're living today, and deciding which ones still belong.
My work is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply relational. I don't position myself as someone who has all the answers. Instead, I become a curious companion alongside you, helping us discover together what has remained outside awareness and how those discoveries can create lasting change.
Read About My Approach →I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
I completed my clinical training at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP) in Toronto, one of Canada's longest-standing and most respected institutes for psychodynamic psychotherapy. My training emphasized long-term depth work, the therapeutic relationship, and the understanding that lasting change comes not simply from changing behaviours, but from transforming how we experience ourselves and others.
My primary orientation is self psychology, an approach developed by Heinz Kohut, which understands emotional suffering not as evidence that something is broken, but as the result of developmental needs that were never fully met.
Rather than asking "What's wrong with you?" self psychology asks, "What happened to you, and what was missing?"
This perspective is deeply compassionate. It recognizes that symptoms such as anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship struggles, shame, emotional loneliness, or a persistent sense of not being enough are often intelligent adaptations rather than personal failures.
While self psychology provides the foundation of my work, my practice is also informed by relational psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, and an appreciation for the wisdom of the body in emotional healing.
